The location is great. The house is very cozy. The kitchen is great. The Destination Big Bear hosts were great. They replaced the tv for us. I would have appreciated more than 1 roll of paper towels. We loved it. Less than 5 min from Big Bear Mtn.

Overall great stay. Fantastic accommodation for our group of 9, incredibly easy check in process, very easy to contact the host with any issues or questions. The hot tub and foose ball table were a hit! Super close to Big Bear Mountain, great location. Overall great experience!

We had the most INCREDIBLE time at The Great Escape. I celebrated my 30th birthday with friends and family over a long weekend and the pictures are exactly what the home feels like; warm, comfortable, modern, great for entertaining, welcoming, and relaxing. It was the perfect house to host a large group of people (we were 9 + 2 dogs) and still allow everyone to have their own private quarters. The house is laid out with 3 bedrooms upstairs (master (with an amazing bath tub and shower), junior room, second bathroom with shower, an add-on "sun room" with three beds, and upstairs deck. Downstairs has the kitchen, laundry room (with an additional toilet and sink) another bedroom with a bunk bed and trundle bed for extra sleeping, the living room, dining area, and counter-top eating area. The "sun-room" upstairs is great for kids - only problem we encountered was that the only way to get to and from it is through the master bedroom or junior bedroom. There were plenty of towels, linens, comforters, and pillows, the kitchen is FULLY stocked with cooking supplies for cooking big meals like we did, and the living room is a great large layout with plenty of comfortable seating/hanging out room for entertaining/playing games. The hot tub out back was divine... we went for a hike and lake swim during the day and came back to indulge in the hot water under the stars. Pretty amazing. The neighborhood is quiet and the houses are spread out enough to feel like you have your own space. We enjoyed a nice walk looking at the stars at night and the surrounding area during the day. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to spend a wonderfully cozy time in a very comfortable and accommodating house. It's only about 5-7 minutes from the Village and 10-15 minutes to the Lake depending on where you are going to boat/swim. We will absolutely be back to enjoy another Great Escape!
