Our FAQ’s
No, we do not waive processing fees.
If a repeat guest is looking for more of a discount, reach out to your manager to see what else can be done.
10% off for repeat clients cannot be used on already discounted cabins or 0% homes.
If a home is already discounted more than 10% and the repeat guest is asking for even more of a discount, you can offer to take $30 off the rental amount or 5% more off whichever is greater. You can also reduce the pet fee from $75 to $30.
If a guest is looking for more of a discount than you can offer, change the status to MGT rate.
Yes, but they must call the morning of check in or the morning of checkout and ask if its available. Communicate to them that owners come up, there may be scheduled maintenance, it might be rented, so they must call us the day of. Also, let them know if they check in early we may have yet to audit the last cleaning and just to let us know if there are any issues so we can rectify. Explain to them that every home is opened and audited the day of check in.
Once you give an early check in contact the opener to let them know.
If you give a late checkout, you must contact the cleaner and let them know.
95% of all homes in Big Bear do not have A/C because we normally do not need it. Suggest they open windows and turn on fans if they have them and at night it will cool down.
Most thermostats will say heat/cool, but the cool section does not actually work. If it is set to cool, it will keep blowing hot air out. Turn it off. The fan is good to keep on.
Let the guest know we are in a rural community and there are a few things that effect cell phone reception- weather, population levels (how many visitors are in the valley), and limited towers. Verizon and Sprint get fairly good coverage, T-Mobile works well everywhere aside from Fawnskin, the others are hit or miss.
We do not allow international bookings unless they have an American bank account. This can be seen by the phone # provided when it starts with +00##########.
Yes, if that is how they choose to pay. We will need to take notes of cardholder names inside of the booking at the time of payment. Also inform them that all cardholders will need to show a copy of their ID at check-in and include a note in the booking that they were informed, and then at the time of check-in write a note that IDs were verified.
Take the amount that they wish to pay on the first card and enter that into the amount due section of the booking, take payment. Take the amount they wish to pay on the second card, etc..
