This is a perfect venue for a large family get away. There is a large tree top deck ideal for drinks and BBQ’s, the Jacuzzi is a nice touch. Upstairs there is private loft where a lively game of pool will not affect the tranquility of the house, and downstairs is another recreational space where the kids can watch TV. Lovely house with many different entertaining areas and enough privacy for 3 separate families to have their own space. We will be back.

Sundance Lodge in Big Bear Lake, is perfectly situated; close enough to town and the ski slopes, but far enough to be in a tranquil area, away from the traffic. You enter an open plan area, which consists of the lounge, dining room, kitchen and kitchen nook. The double volume ceiling and high windows, allow lots of light to stream in, giving you a sense of space and wellbeing. The area is tastefully furnished, with a mix of wood, as seen in the unique showcases and dining table. This space overlooks a patio, where you can view a variety of small animals and birds feeding, whilst the gentle sounds emanating from the chimes, add to the tranquility of the surroundings. To light a fire at sun set, whilst lounging on the deck or in the jacuzzi, is a memorable experience. The bedroom, adjacent to the open plan area, is spacious and filled with an abundance of natural light. The two downstairs bedrooms and lounge can accommodate two families, with ample room to spare. There are two bedroom upstairs, a pool room and the most delightful four single beds, loosely resembling the pods in first class! This is a cool space for children to interact with one another or read, before going to sleep. On locking the front door after our stay, I find myself looking forward to the next visit!

We had a great time staying at Sundance lodge. There were multiple families staying with us and everyone had their own space and private bathrooms. Even though it was one house, everyone had their own living areas and privacy, which is great when everyone wakes up at different times. The overall feel of the house is very welcoming. We have stayed in many rentals before and this house feels special, not your typical worn-in rental property. The house has lots of natural light with nature all around. The mornings are so peaceful on the deck especially with a cup of coffee in your hand watching the birds visiting the feeders and looking at the sweeping views. The house borders the forest with access to trails into the mountains and plenty of space for kids to explore down in the backyard. We took advantage of the trails and soaked up the fresh air. The house had everything we needed for a wonderful stay and we can’t wait to come back on the winter to ski at Bear mountain!
